Come By Chance Resort & Campground

Come By Chance Resort & Campground is 40 miles south-west of thunder Bay, Ontario, Just 36 miles from the Pigeon River Border Crossing. The resort is located on the north side of Whitefish Lake.

The ares is a real haven for all outdoor enthusiasts -- fishermen, hunters, campers and camera buffs alike. Whitefish Lake is a natural habitat for Walleye, Jumbo Perch, Northern Pike. Excellent ice fishing begins about the first week of December. Please phone ahead of ice conditions! A large number of Jumbo Perch inhabit Whitefish Lake where large catches are a common occurrence. Jumbo Perch from 14"-16" have been caught on this lake. The largest walleye of the year are often caught as soon as it is safe to go on the ice! At Come By Chance Resort, we provide the kind of personalizated service that turns customers into good friends.

Cottages!
Ultra-modern housekeeping cottages await you at Come By Chance Resort. Each cottage has a spacious living area, fully equipped kitchen, indoor washroom and shower, and large bedrooms with single beds. Each cabin can comfortably fit 4-10 people with enough notice, we can handle groups of up to 40. Check our rate sheet for rates and off season specials. (Note: Come By Chance Resort supplies all linens, but towels must be provided by the customer.)

Facilities!
On site facilities at Come By Chance Resort take back seat to no one. Our central lodge is equipped with a games room, laundromat, public washrooms and public showers. Our fish cleaning houses are lighted, screened in for summer use and heated for winter.

Freezer service and ice are available to keep your catch fresh

At the resort we sell fishing & hunting licenses and live bait

If you forget anything, there is a small general store/liquor store within walking distance

Trailer Sites!
if camping under the stars is for you, our large, fully serviced sites will interest you. The sites can accommodate tenters through mobile homes. There is a dump station and portable honey wagon for your added convience. Check out our rate sheet for off-season specials and family packages.

Boats & Motors!
To safely take you to and from your favorite fishing spot we use 14' Lund boats and 9.9 hp Mercury outboards.
